Mokotoff was the curator of the Shelley and Donald Rubin collection which grew during his tenure (1995-2001) from 40 to 600 Tibetan thangkas and Nepalese patas. He also served on the founding committee for the Rubin Museum of Art and created the www.himalayanart.org website which, under the later direction of Tibetan iconographer Jeff Watt, has been expanded to now include over 25,000 images from collections around the world. |
